He was born in 1960. In the beginning he was a biologist; after graduating, however, his interest shifted towards theatre. After acting studies in New York and being engaged in various theatres in Germany he was awarded in 1998 with the Kleinkunstpreis Baden-Württemberg Prize for third place. In 2008-2009 he finished a year-long scriptwriting course at the Hamburg-Berlin Film School. From that time, next to theatre comedies, he has also been doing scriptwriting. “Symphony of Fools” is his first short film. He lives in Mannheim as an independent author, director, and actor, and together with his trio – the music cabaret “Mannheimer Kulturknall” – he performs throughout Germany.
